不知你是指 unity 2d 或 unity 3d 桌布?

Ubuntu 12.10 預設 unity-2d 完全移除

sudo apt-get purge fglrx lightdm && sudo apt-get install lightdm ubuntu-desktop

2. 修改 lightdm.conf

sudo nano /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf

加入：

[SeatDefaults]
user-session=ubuntu
greeter-session=unity-greeter
allow-guest=false

3. 重新開機。
