謝謝！這就是我一天到晚跟國內高層人員抱怨的地方，美國因爲市場大很多，微軟視窗作業系統的價錢是由「廣告」廠商埋單的，一般消費者並不會感覺到。國內要買到同樣的價錢，就必須沒有作業系統的（如上述兩台筆電），同時，國內所賣無作業系統的筆電，都只限制於最低級的產品。

沒有作業系統的筆電對我們當然沒有影響，但因爲我們這次想提供新筆電的主要目的之一乃是希望能製造一些使用Windows 8/Ubuntu duao boot 及 Secure Boot/UEFI的經驗，您所找出的兩台筆電，以後可能很有幫助，目前我們還是需要有預裝Windows 8的。

如何 在 Windows 8 機器 讓 已經 取得 簽證 的 Linux 版本 開機 / 不需把 Secure Boot 及 UEFI 關閉

Some people have complained that they can't install Linux on new machines because their firmware won't let them choose a boot device.

This is part of Windows 8's fast boot support - the keyboard may not be initialised until after the OS has started.

1. To deal with this, insert the install media and reboot your computer.
2. Wait for Windows 8 to start.
3. While holding down shift, click on the power icon and click on restart.
4. When the menu appears, click "Use a device" and then click your install media.
5. If it's listed more than once, choose the one that says "UEFI" in front of it.
6. Your system will now restart and boot off the install media.

分割工具

儘量自己分割好 硬碟 再安裝 Windows 8 及 Ubuntu 問題會比較少

1. Windows 8 分割/格式化 硬碟

從 執行 方框 下指令 COMPMGMT.MSC

2. 從 Ubuntu Live CD/USB 開機 登入 試用桌面

2-1. 文字指令 界面 : 從 終端機 下指令 sudo parted

2-2. 圖形工具 界面 : gparted

Linux 基金會 重新 改寫 UEFI Secure Boot 的 Pre-Bootloader 以便讓所有的 Linux 版本都可以用來開機

由於 發現 以前所寫的 Pre-Bootloader 無法 與 Gummiboot 搭配得很成功
而 Gummiboot 正是 Linux 版本 Secure Boot 的 UEFI 開機導引的 實作
所以 重寫 Pre-Bootloader 務求 與 Gummiboot 搭配得很成功

The redesigned bootloader has already been submitted to Microsoft for singing and once the signed version is received, The Linux Foundation is planning to provide it for free.
重寫的 Pre-Bootloader 已送給 微軟公司 等待 微軟公司的簽證
等簽證過了 Linux 基金會 將 免費 供給 所有的 Linux 版本 使用

所以 Linux 基金會 答應給 Grub 2 使用的 金鑰 應該還在等待 微軟 的 善意

到時 Ubuntu 也會更容易安裝

What Happened to KeyTool.efi?

Originally this was going to be part of our signed release kit. However, during testing Microsoft discovered that because of a bug in one of the UEFI platforms, it could be used to remove the platform key programmatically, which would rather subvert the UEFI security system. Until we can resolve this (we’ve now got the particular vendor in the loop), they declined to sign KeyTool.efi although you can, of course, authorize it by hash in the MOK variables if you want to run it.
