在終端機輸入apt-get install gnome-shell之後，它顯示：

在終端機 sudo apt-get update，把出現的訊息列上來。(或者也可以貼/etc/apt/sources.list)
有可能是沒有開啟universe來源導致無法安裝。

先暫時停用這一堆ppa來源並重新整理套件資料庫(sudo apt-get update)再安裝，看看能不能讓問題單純一點；還是出現相同訊息的話，請貼一下單獨安裝sudo apt-get install libmutter0b的結果。
另外也可以考慮直接下載launchpad上的libmutter0b來手動安裝，嘗試繞過這個問題: (32位元) http://launchpadlibrarian.net/148675648/libmutter0b_3.8.4-0ubuntu2_i386.deb 或 (64位元) http://launchpadlibrarian.net/148675509/libmutter0b_3.8.4-0ubuntu2_amd64.deb

停用ppa後，終端機的訊息還是一樣......
手動安裝的話則會顯示：打破現存套件libmutter0c發生衝突libmutter0b（） 謝謝大大！看來我只能暫時守在mate了

從錯誤訊息可得知可能你從其他PPA裝的其他桌面環境把libmutter0c給裝上了，所以libmutter0b裝不上去；如果移除libmutter0c不會導致任何相依問題的話移除後應該就能裝了
