剛剛因為tnc上不去，不知道要到哪裡抓gcin。

剛好跑到作者的網站，亂試出來一個方案。

請抓:
http://www.csie.nctu.edu.tw/~cp76/gcin/download/gcin-1.0.1-liu_mdk10.0.i586.rpm

先裝alien，在用alien把rpm convert成deb，再安裝。

sudo apt-get install alien
sudo alien gcin-1.0.1-liu_mdk10.0.i586.rpm
sudo dpkg -i gcin_1.0.1-1_i386.deb

然後接下來按照首頁的方法就可以了。

gaim輸入一些標點符號終於不會當掉了...(睡)

感謝上篇作者的安裝方法!
因為我的電腦是跑 kubuntu 所以使用以下設定:

1. 在 /etc/X11/Xsession.d/ 目錄下新增檔案73custom-gcin_startup

內容如下:
export XMODIFIERS="@im=gcin"
export GTK_IM_MODULE="gcin"
export XIM_PROGRAM="gcin"
export QT_IM_MODULE="gcin"

2. 在 ~/.kde/Autostart/ 目錄之下增加檔案
startgcin (記得 chmod +x startgcin)

內容如下
#! /bin/sh
export LANG="zh_TW.UTF-8"
export LC_CTYPE="zh_TW.UTF-8"
export LC_ALL="zh_TW.UTF-8"
gcin &

重新登入後就可以用了!!

其實GCIN同好會 就有人包好UBUNTU的
下載DEB檔 直接DPKG就好了~~~~

直接make install都沒問題
記得將設定檔寫到正確的地方就好了

昨天po的時候忘了登入....
alien能work真是太意外了。
因為我alien一堆rpm剛好就這一個能work，蠻幸運的。
希望會的人可以建一個For Ubuntu的檔案，畢竟我賽到的方法只能解解渴。

I'm using ubuntu 5.1 for amd64 ver,
there's no package for my PC.


I want to compile gcin myself,
after I install

libqt3-headers
qt3-apps-dev
qt3-dev-tools

when I ./configure
there's warning message showed:
QT_IM_MODULE dir:/usr/lib/qt3/plugins/lib/inputmethods support

what package I should install for gcin compile??

Why don't you use 32-bit version ?

You can ignore the QT message.

QT 3.x doesn't have IM module support.
QT 4 has it.

Debian / Ubuntu 目前為止都還沒有支援 QT immodule

gcin 那個訊息不是錯誤訊息，不用管它，直接編譯就對了

Debian / Ubuntu 目前只能用 XIM 和 GTK immodule

想用 QT immodule 要自己找非官方的 QT package 來裝…有點小麻煩…

反正 QT 軟體通通都用 XIM 就好了，其實是不會有什麼困擾啦…

64 bit 版本通常會用比較多的記憶體。amd64 速度是比較快，對 gcin 來說應該是用不到，應該是感覺不到速度的差異。
