我在win32客戶端 用PuTTY 連線至ubuntu server
發現中文都是亂碼，想請問大大，是不是在 ubuntu server
要去更改i18n 的設定嗎?
要怎麼改呢。

不過有另外一位朋友告訴我改，
可是我改後沒有作用也。

改 i18n 方面可以修改 /etc/locale.gen , 改為 zh_Tw.big5 big5

vi /etc/locale.gen 內文:↓
zh_Tw.big5 big5
zh_TW.UTF-8 UTF-8
en_US.UTF-8 UTF-8
en_AU.UTF-8 UTF-8
en_BW.UTF-8 UTF-8
en_CA.UTF-8 UTF-8

要改兩個檔, 而且不一定有效

/etc/locale.gen -> 你已經知道了

/etc/enviroment(可能拼錯,因為我現在不在 ubuntu 底下)

其實使用 utf-8 的環境也不錯, 終端機改用 PieTTy 試試看, 說不定有用(不過我自己沒試過, 若不行, 不要罵我)

under (pu|lpu|pie)tty, [property|setup](i forgot) -> Window -> Appearence -> Trans -> change [Use Font Default encoding] to [UTF-8]
than you can enjoy the UTF-8 chinese env :)

P.S. i'm in a new installed ubuntu box, without chinese input yet.
