話說原本在今天之前LINUX MINT KDE13用得好好的，但今天手癢，重新安裝了一遍LINUX MINT KDE13，安裝好之後，依如往常依照三秒緯大大的文章安裝GCIN，相關網址如下：

可是這一次安裝好之後，在KATE中、終端機裏面完全都無法使用，請問各位前輩有遇過這種狀況嗎..冏rz...

參考這一篇的文章看看，沒試過在 mint 可不可以。這邊的 gcin 會自動把 gcin-qt4-im-module install 進去，可以省掉在 KDE 上使用 gcin 的麻煩。

Ubuntu 12.10/12.04 安裝最新的 gcin 的完整步驟

回復前輩，我依照步驟，先把原本安裝的GCIN移除，然後依照連結中的步驟一步一腳印，把多餘的GCIN SORCE CODE移除，然後照步驟安裝，

最後重開機，依然老樣子，CHROME可以，但KATE和終端機依然不行...

測試了一下，

是新的版本沒錯，但依然無法WORK...冏rz..

有 install im-config 嗎？install im-config 之後會造成 im-switch 的錯亂，ubuntu 目前是必須用 im-switch，im-config 會砍掉這個 file
/etc/X11/Xsession.d/80im-switch

必須回復，老問題了。另外一面一個暴力法是直接在 ~/.profile or .bashrc 設定

export QT4_IM_MODULE=gcin

未曾安裝套件 `im-config'，也無法取得其資訊。

判斷應該是安裝im-switch。
若是使用暴力法，是直接在~/.profile or .bashrc 最下面添加上

export QT4_IM_MODULE=gcin

這一句嗎？？

先確認 symbolic link 是否存在

~/.xinput.d/zh_TW -> /etc/X11/xinit/xinput.d/gcin

export QT4_IM_MODULE=gcin 是 /etc/X11/xinit/xinput.d/gcin 設定的。

~/.xinput.d/zh_TW 是 im-switch or gnome-language-selector 設定的。

dpkg-query -s im-switch
沒辦法確認
/etc/X11/Xsession.d/80im-switch
是否存在，先用 ls 確認。一旦 install im-config 移除再重新 install im-switch 也不會回復。



qt4 的程式不行用 gcin 是
export QT4_IM_MODULE=gcin
沒設定，自己可以先在 bash 試試看，設定了之後是否可以用 kate。

回復前輩：

得到回復不存在。

/etc/X11/xinit/xinput.d/gcin 裏面沒有任何設定。

另外，~/.xinput.d/zh_TW 是 im-switch or gnome-language-selector 設定的。該如何確認呢？

然後您提到dpkg-query -s im-switch沒辦法確認 /etc/X11/Xsession.d/80im-switch是否存在，先用 ls 確認。

請教前輩這個部份該如何確認呢？

~ 是指 home directory，當然是要用你平常 login 的 user，不是 root。

/etc/X11/xinit/xinput.d/gcin
是 gcin.deb 裏面的 file，應該不會不見才對。

ls -l /etc/X11/Xsession.d/80im-switch

依然無法WORK

能否描述一下 在什麼情況下 無法 work ?

抱歉，小弟用的是KONSOLE AS ROOT 的終端機，所以會變成ROOT的狀態@@

使用一般的終端機，回復如下：

裏面是空白的，沒有任何設定值哩..@@
